Endodontic treatment is a dental procedure designed to treat infections inside the tooth, specifically within the pulp—the soft tissue that contains nerves and blood vessels. This treatment is often referred to as a root canal procedure, and it aims to preserve your natural tooth and prevent further complications.
What is endodontic treatment exactly? It involves removing infected pulp tissue, cleaning and disinfecting the inner chambers, and sealing the tooth to prevent future infections. It’s often necessary when decay or trauma reaches deep inside the tooth, leading to pain, swelling, or abscesses.
You might benefit from endodontic treatment if you experience:
Ignoring these symptoms can lead to tooth loss or other serious oral health issues. Early intervention can preserve your natural teeth and avoid more extensive procedures later.
Wondering about the endodontic treatment steps? Here’s what to expect during your visit:
We use state-of-the-art tools and a compassionate approach to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
The cost of endodontic treatment varies depending on the tooth's location, complexity, and whether a crown is required afterward. Molars, for example, typically cost more due to their multiple roots.
At Newport Dental & Orthodontics, we strive to offer transparent pricing and flexible financing options, and we accept most insurance plans. If you’re searching for affordable endodontic treatment near Long Beach, CA, we’re happy to provide options that fit your budget.
Many patients ask how endodontic treatments differ from other services like fillings or extractions. While fillings treat surface-level decay, endodontic therapy addresses deeper infections that affect the nerve. Unlike extraction, this treatment allows you to keep your natural tooth. Preserving your tooth structure not only maintains your bite but also supports long-term oral health.
At Newport Dental & Orthodontics, we offer expert care in a modern, patient-centered setting. Our endodontic specialists and general dentists work closely to develop a personalized treatment plan that meets your needs. Whether it’s a complex case or routine root canal therapy, we’re here to make your experience positive and pain-free.

I want to let you know if you have any hesitation about visiting the dentist because of fear, you can let that go. The staff from the assistants to the doctors treated me with quality care. They were friendly understading and profession. When the endontist assured me the root canal was going to be painless, I was skeptical bc I had that procedure done before and it was anything but. However, The treatment I recieved was literally painless. I am truly grateful and thankful to have found people who know what they are doing and take pride in their work. Bravo Long Beach Newport team. You have made me a believer that a dental visit should not be feared.
